The Owners of R&D Plastics

Rod RothRod Roth has thirty years of experience in custom plastic injection molding. Rod comes by his affiliation with plastic injection molding through his father, who started Grant and Roth Plastics. He has worked on the production floor, in sales and in management. Rod teaches part design and material selection seminars to customers' engineering departments. He has a strong commitment to customer satisfaction and to a strong cost control style of management.

Sal GonzalezSal Gonzalez has over twenty years of experience in custom plastic injection molding. He has supervised the production floor and was the key molding technician at his previous company. Sal brings a thorough knowledge of equipment and processing, as well as excellent relationships with colleagues throughout the molding community. His engineering and technical knowledge allow him to work with customers' engineers to solve design, tooling, material and processing problems. Sal teaches classes in molding technology at Portland Community College.

Janet Evensen is our Systems Manager. She has over twenty years experience with three different molders, working in every department. She manages our internal reporting systems, accounting and all office functions. She has worked with such MRP systems as Data 3 and IQ Management.

R&D Plastics' Management Team

Donna Baca is Production Supervisor. She has over twenty-five years of experience in custom plastic injection molding, starting at Grant and Roth Plastics. She has worked on the production floor in leadership positions and has a strong commitment to quality. Donna manages the systems on the production floor and supervises shipping and receiving.

Tino Long supervises Quality Systems. He started his career at Puget Plastics where he learned the processing side of the business. Tino is an excellent systems person, works well with people and has a strong commitment to quality. He assists with inventory control and is learning project management. Tino is also currently taking engineering classes.

Jim Stump works with our customers on project management. He has thirty years of experience in plastic injection molding at three companies: Grant and Roth Plastics, Quality Plastics, and Modcom. He understands all aspects of the molding business and will help our customers do it right the first time.

Bev Carmichael handles customer service and order entry. She has twenty-five years of experience working at Grant and Roth Plastics and SPM/Portland. She has handled such accounts as IBM, Abbot Labs, Hewlett-Packard and Intel. She truly cares about our customers.

Jose Contreras is lead molding technician. He was trained at SPM/Portland and brings experience, enthusiasm and a thirst for knowledge. He knows his materials, processing and quality control. Anyone who works with him will tell you, his molding skills are excellent.

Steve Lara is Second Shift foreman. He has worked at several molders, including Grant and Roth Plastics and Polycast, where he was lead molding technician. He has exceptional molding skills and a high-quality attitude.

Kevin Mason is Third Shift foreman. He too worked at Grant and Roth Plastics and was Production Manager of a small local molder. Kevin is a good molder, works well with people and also brings an attention to detail.
