R&D Plastics offers custom plastic injection molding services including engineering and design assistance for parts and tooling. This custom nylon blower is designed to help circulate warm air in a space heater. Flatness, rotational balance and dimensional tolerances are essential for proper performance. Our engineering staff developed a custom sprue, runner, and gating system with six slides that move at precise angles to seal off with the cavity and core. A 3-plate mold with 6 balanced drop-gates ensures the part fills evenly and consistently and maintains its balance for the application. The well designed and constructed mold allows us to produce high-quality, dimensionally consistent parts.

This 6" diameter blower is molded on our 190 ton Toshiba machine. We perform regular dimensional inspections and functional fit checks to ensure all parts conform to the customer’s specifications.
